Drop-In Services
Job Search is available to the public for young adults ages 16-24 in our resource room. You do not need to be enrolled in any program to use this service.
Hours of Operation:
Monday and Thursday: 9-4
Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday: 8-4
Services include: Job openings, resume and online application assistance, job search strategies and interview tips, computers for educational and job search purposes, phones, fax, and internet access, disability resources and assistive technology available.
THE WORK READINESS program is a high school drop-out program for youth and young adults, ages 16 to 24, whose goals are to improve reading, writing and math skills, obtain a GED and become employed. Classes take place onsite in the WorkSource Learning Center located in the Everett Transit Center. A certified teacher leads students through a variety of lessons which includes life skills and career exploration activities. Students work with Employment Specialists to pursue employment, higher education, soft and life skill development. They also assist students with career exploration, retention and intensive case management services, addressing employment barriers and placing students in short term subsidized training with local companies to gain job readiness skills.
To start the process you must:
1) Call 425-374-8351 to reserve a spot in the next information meeting.
2) Attend the Information Meeting - Information Meetings for Work Readiness Program are typically every other Monday at 1:45.
Go to www.worksourceonline.com and select the 'Youth' option to learn more or to view the calendar of events which provides accurate dates/times for Information Meetings as well as for upcoming workshops and the weekly job club (beginning this August).
