Seeking Help Supernaturally
Let's face it, we are not equipped to "handle" everything on our own. We are human. We need the help of our maker in order to thrive in this world. Whether you are a struggling teen or a struggling parent, if you haven't sought out the power of God to help you through this life, it's time to start seeking. You didn't land on this page by accident.
You probably feel that some situation in your life right now is completely hopeless. Maybe you're so worried about a loved one that you're not sure if you'll ever see them alive again? Maybe you've found yourself in a destructive relationship or trapped in an addiction? Maybe you feel that it's impossible to get a good job or support yourself? Spiritual laws are different than the laws of the world. When everything in our lives seems "hopeless," with God they become "possible."
So, where do you start?
Maybe you're saying, "But I went to church before and it didn't work," "I don't even know how to pray," or " I don't believe in all that hokey stuff." There's lots of excuses that people use when they're facing the decision of getting real with their creator. Perhaps what it really means is, "I'm scared that I will have to change."
Isn't that what you want in your life? Change? To be set free from the chaos surrounding you. You might be thinking, "it's not me who needs to change, it's my son (spouse/parents/the law/etc...)" Some of that might also be true, but you know in your heart that the only person that you are capable of changing is yourself. When you get healthy with your life, those around you will see the difference and likely want to do the same. You lead by example and everything else falls into place. It may not happen immediately, but it will happen if you keep seeking.
Here's where to start
If you've never prayed for your salvation (or if you did, but think you may want to re-dedicate yourself-it doesn't hurt to do it again)
Say this prayer out loud to Jesus and mean it with all of your heart:
"Lord I acknowledge that I am a sinner and my sins have separated me from you. I also believe that you, Lord Jesus died in my place and paid the price for every sin in my life. I ask you Lord to come into my heart to come into my life and to wash me clean up every sin that I have ever committed. I believe that you rose again from the grave on the third day and by the power of that resurrection. I ask you Lord to fill me with the Holy Spirit and to raise me up into a new life of service unto you. I commit my life to you that your will from now on and not mine be done. Thank you Lord Jesus for hearing my prayer and for giving me my sins, this day- Amen"
